God is the foundation of all logic, science, reason, and morality.  It is to be expected, then, that if you or your culture rebels against God, you will necessarily rebel against logic, science, reason, and morality.

If there were any question remaining about whether or not American pop culture was in outright, flagrant rebellion to God’s moral order (and there isn’t of course), this should pretty well put it to bed.

Mel Magazine, a publication owned by Dollar Shave Club and its parent company Unilever, is ostensibly a “men’s magazine.”  But what does “men” mean these days?  Well, ironically, that’s an extremely complicated question if you ask Mel Magazine.  At the top of one of their recent stories promoting abortion, came this now widely-mocked editor’s note:

For brevity’s sake, we’re using the word “women” to describe people who get pregnant and “men” to describe those who impregnate them. But people of all genders can get pregnant and get people pregnant, and this guide is intended to be a useful resource for them as well.

It would be one thing if this sort of gobbledygook was confined to radical progressive magazines and commentaries on sexual anarchist websites.  But the fact that it has been mainstreamed to the point that people are no longer ashamed to promote it to general audiences is a clear sign of how quickly the culture has tumbled down the slope of absurdity.

Pandering politicians have bought in, panicked companies have signed on, and the general population has largely acquiesced to what anyone with a functioning conscience that is even partially grounded in reality knows it is beyond ignorance.

Truth doesn’t matter anymore.  That’s why teachers are fired for not playing along with the dangerous agendas threatening the well-being of their students’ bodies and minds.  It’s why parents facilitate confusion and bodily harm on their children in the name of love and acceptance.  It’s why people with advanced degrees make up terms and invent vocabularies to appear cutting edge, progressive, and forward thinking.

And it’s why reporters for men’s magazines are actually willing to put their name beside the intellectually contemptuous proposition that “people of all genders can get pregnant.”

Self is now god in America, and modern man will embrace whatever delusion he must in its worship.
