I freely admit I haven’t done much in the way of keeping up with former actress Alyssa Milano’s sex life, but does anyone know if her strike is still on?  Remember it was about a month ago that in her most recent desperate ploy to remain relevant that she unleashed Sex Strike 2019.  It was genius from the start: 

1. In order to advocate for the right to kill children, she sought to ensure that women who might want to kill children not ever get pregnant.
2. She proved the efficacy and effectiveness of abstinence, and that actually “reproductive rights” has everything to do with what happens BEFORE sexual activity, not after conception.

3.     She demonstrated that personal responsibility when it comes to sex is indeed possible, and preferable to achieve the elimination of abortion as a form of birth control.

Not only that, but her unintentional call to embrace pro-life ethics seemed to spread to the men folk as well.  One of my favorite Twitter responses to her outcry had to be this one:

“If abortion is illegal then men abandoning their child should also be illegal.  If this was a permanent decision for me then it is for you as a father also.”

Again, I’ll admit I don’t know how as a pro-life American I am supposed to see this crusade as anything but an affirmation of my beliefs and an endorsement of my preferred methods, but I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. 

I’m just curious how this heroic effort is going, particularly given the intense opposition Milano was receiving from confused fellow feminists.  Women like Sirena Bergman who was not happy:

[H]er solution was all kinds of flawed… Almost immediately, she was called out for her suggestion, with women pointing out that actually they enjoyed having sex, and it seemed problematic for them to be expected to give up something they want to do in order to protest against something that is done to them. It’s almost like the puritanical monsters trying to control our vaginas and our wombs would win.

If there were a gold medal in hyperbole, Sirena would be the frontrunner.  But Milano was certainly not accustomed to being on the receiving end of feminist rage.  So is there an update?  Is the strike still on?
