Talking Points of the Protection at Conception bill
Indiana Code already notes “That human physical life begins when a human ovum is fertilized by a human sperm.” IC 16-34-2-1.1
Despite this, preborn babies continue to be slaughtered in the womb at an estimated rate of 22 per day throughout the year in Indiana.
What Indiana needs to do is protect the preborn life that the Indiana Code has already acknowledged exists. The objective is to save preborn babies from the butcher.
The solution is the Protection at Conception bill, which treats the unborn like any other living individual.
Simply stated, an abortion in Indiana would be treated like any other intentional death.
Law enforcement would investigate this intentional death.
The prosecutor with jurisdiction would then file any charges deemed appropriate for the wrongful death.
