According to the most reliable polling data, despite all the fanfare, media bluster, and jockeying amongst a boatload of candidates desperate to emerge from the already crowded field of contenders, the race for the Democratic nomination for president is currently a competition between two old white guys.   Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden are currently several lengths out in front of the Democrat horse race.

How classic is that?  The same party that has bet its future on intersectionality, race-baiting, feminist courting, and minority madness, is trying to pick between two old Caucasian men.

If none of the other contenders are able to gain traction, this has to be tremendous news for Bernie Sanders.  Because as incredible as it may seem that the Democrat Party might actually nominate a man like Sanders – historically viewed as an intellectual and philosophical lightweight – for the presidency, Joe Biden seems almost destined to implode.

It’s not just that Biden is a walking gaffe waiting to happen.  After all, his invitation to a handicapped man to stand up, nor his description of Obama as the first mainstream African-American who is “articulate, bright, and clean,” impeded his rise to the second highest office in the land.

No, Biden’s problem is not just that he sticks his foot in his mouth regularly; it’s that he is a square peg trying to fit in a left-wing, intersectionality-created round hole.  People are being chased from the public square, brow-beaten into silence, and publicly scourged by the social justice activist coup that now controls the party Biden seeks to lead.  And why?  Because they – at some point in their past – said or wrote something questionable, provocative, or in some way inappropriate (by today’s SJW-approved standards) about one of the coup’s protected classes of people.

Simply put, that is an insurmountable obstacle for a guy like Biden.  A guy who through a 2019 lens has a rich history of saying offensive things about minorities.  You know, like this remark that then-Senator Joe Biden made to the Washington Post way back in 1975:

I do not buy the concept, popular in the ’60s, which said, ‘We have suppressed the black man for 300 years and the white man is now far ahead in the race for everything our society offers. In order to even the score, we must now give the black man a head start, or even hold the white man back, to even the race.’ I don’t buy that.

I don’t feel responsible for the sins of my father and grandfather. I feel responsible for what the situation is today, for the sins of my own generation. And I’ll be damned if I feel responsible to pay for what happened 300 years ago.

By 2019 standards, those may as well have been the words of David Duke.  In a party now actively discussing and proposing reparations as serious policy, Biden will be eaten alive.  And forget the silly notion that having been Obama’s Vice President will provide him some immunity from being raked over the coals.  In our current environment, not only will Biden face a left-wing rhetorical firing squad, expect that Obama himself will have to give an account or apology for elevating a man with such apparent bigotry.

I know what the polls say, and I could certainly be wrong, but I don’t see any way in the world Joe Biden can secure the Democrat Party nomination for President in 2020.  Live by the intersectionality sword, Joe, die by the same.
